Flights between Bali and Sumbawa are very limited, just one a day, so buying a ticket at the last minute is almost impossible, especially over a weekend. Please plan the trip well in advance. Sumbawa is not a tourist island, so there are almost no restaurants with European cuisine, and little in the way of hotels or entertainment. The heart of this trip is the nature and a glimpse of everyday, non-touristy Indonesia.
